Ariana Vela is one of the most recognized experts in EU funds, strategic development, and public procurement in the Republic of Croatia and the region, with more than 20 years of experience. She has participated in the preparation and implementation of more than 500 projects financed through EU grant funds (a portfolio worth over €6 billion), the largest of which is the so-called “Pelješac Bridge” project, officially known as “Road Connectivity with Southern Dalmatia.” She conceived and launched the first Croatian portal on EU funds (eu-projekti.info) and wrote the first book on project preparation and implementation, titled “Management of ESI Funds.” She is an external expert for the world’s most renowned consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, and also lectures at numerous higher education institutions and faculties. She holds an MBA in Management and a certification in project management – IPMA Level A. She is a certified public procurement trainer and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in business economics at the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka. At the EU Projekti Training Institute (www.uep.hr), she serves as Director and lecturer.

His focus is on bridging technology, business strategy, and commercial execution to turn digital innovation into measurable business outcomes.
